Shopify AOV lift calculator
Guessing whether bundles will move the needle wastes a sprint. This calculator turns your traffic, conversion rate, average order value, and expected attach rate into a monthly revenue estimate you can take to stakeholders — then build for real in RRR Bundles.
Calculate
How it works
The model is deliberately simple so you can audit it:
- Monthly orders = sessions × (conversion rate ÷ 100).
- Orders with the offer = monthly orders × (attach rate ÷ 100).
- Extra revenue per attached order = AOV × (percent of AOV added ÷ 100).
- Estimated monthly lift = attached orders × extra revenue.
Percent of AOV added is how much larger the attached order is versus your baseline AOV — for example a $10 add-on on a $50 AOV is about 20%. Discounts reduce that percentage; enter a conservative number.
How to read your result
Strong signal: lift that clearly exceeds your app and discount cost within a month.
Borderline: lift near plan price — tighten attach assumptions or pick a higher-intent offer type.
Weak: tiny lift at high discount — revisit offer design before installing anything.
When to use this vs other tools
If you already know the offer type, jump to the volume break optimizer or BOGO margin calculator instead of estimating a generic lift.

Worked example
A store with 40,000 sessions, 2.5% conversion, $64 AOV, 12% attach, and 18% AOV added estimates roughly 1,000 monthly orders, 120 attached orders, and about $1,382/mo of incremental revenue. That usually pays for a Scale plan quickly if pricing holds at checkout.
Going deeper on aov lift
This section expands the aov lift workflow for Shopify merchants who need search-friendly, practical detail beyond the calculator card.
What inputs to pull from Shopify
Use Online Store sessions from Analytics for the last 28 days, then convert to a monthly figure. Conversion rate should be orders divided by sessions for the same window — not add-to-cart rate. AOV is total sales divided by orders; exclude wholesale channels if those will not see the bundle widget.
Attach rate is the hardest input. If you already run a discount code for kits, measure what share of orders used it. If you are new to bundling, start at 8–12% for FBT-style offers and 15–25% for aggressive multipacks on consumables. Revisit after two weeks of attributed data in RRR Analytics.
Discount depth vs lift
The “percent of AOV added” field is not your discount percent. A 15% off Multipack can still raise AOV if shoppers buy three units instead of one. Conversely a 40% BOGO can raise order value while destroying margin — which is why you should pair this calculator with the BOGO margin and ROI vs plan tools.
RRR Bundles reports attributed bundle revenue separately from store GMV so you can compare this estimate to reality without noise from non-bundle checkouts. Pricing is applied with Shopify Functions so the lift you model is the lift shoppers actually pay.
Who should not use a generic AOV model
If most of your revenue is already B2B draft orders, or your catalog is one SKU, a simple attach model overstates opportunity. Use kit pricing or volume breaks instead. If checkout already breaks under theme discounts, fix checkout risk before spending money on traffic.
Implementation notes in RRR Bundles
Create the offer Disabled, preview on a draft theme, then Enable and wait for the live sync badge. Activate discount, cart transform, and validation Functions in Settings. Theme widgets are embeds and blocks — the app does not write into your theme files.
After launch, compare this page’s estimate to Analytics: attributed revenue, AOV with vs without bundles, and funnel views → ATC → orders. If results lag the model, adjust attach assumptions before deepening discounts.
SEO and merchandising tips
Dedicated kit pages (Fixed / Builder) can rank for gift queries; FBT and Cross-sells enrich existing PDPs. Keep offer titles clear, translate widget strings for Markets you sell into, and schedule Active dates for campaigns instead of remembering to toggle offers manually.
Prefer attributed-revenue plan caps so a strong non-bundle week does not force an upgrade. New eligible RRR charges include a 14-day free trial so you can validate Functions pricing before the first invoice.
When to get a second opinion
If two calculators disagree — for example AOV lift looks huge but BOGO margin is thin — trust the margin tool. Revenue without profit is not a growth plan. Use decision quizzes when the offer shape is unclear, then return to builders for numbers.
Trust, compliance, and next clicks
These planners never ask for your myshopify domain and never require install to compute a result. When you choose to continue, installation starts on the Shopify App Store — the supported path for App Store requirement 2.3.1.
Read the privacy policy for what RRR stores after install, and the FAQ for Functions, caps, and theme embeds. For a narrative walkthrough of the same ideas, publish the companion article linked in Related resources from the Ops blog CMS.
If you manage multiple stores, export bundle JSON after the first win and reuse the definition. Agencies can standardize on Multipack or FBT templates per vertical using the same economics you just modeled.
FAQ
Is this AOV lift guaranteed?
No. It is an estimate from the traffic, conversion, attach rate, and discount you enter. Use it to size the opportunity before you build an offer in RRR Bundles.
What is attach rate?
The share of orders that include the bundle or upsell. A 15% attach rate means roughly 15 of every 100 orders take the offer.
Which RRR offer types raise AOV?
Most of them — Multipack, FBT, Buy X Get Y, Fixed kits, and upgrades. Start with the bundle idea generator if you are unsure.
Does the calculator use my Shopify data?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
